SUMMARY:Heidelberg Laureate Forum
DESCRIPTION:The 9th HLF will take place from September 18 to 23\, and during the weeklong conference\, young researchers and other participants have the opportunity to connect with scientific pioneers and learn how the laureates made it to the top of their fields. Laureate lectures and discussions\, plus various interactive program elements are some of the Forum’s fundamental elements. This compelling networking event combines scientific\, social and outreach activities in a unique atmosphere\, sustained by comprehensive exchange and scientific inspiration. \nAt the 9th HLF\, some of the brightest minds in mathematics and computer science will come together for unrestrained\, interdisciplinary exchange. We hope that the 9th HLF will be able to take place in its traditional format onsite in Heidelberg. \nFor young researchers\, the application period for the 9th HLF has ended. Journalists are encouraged to cover the Forum and have the opportunity to apply for travel grants from February 21\, until May 2\, 2022.

Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft für Informatik\n26. bis 30.09.2022 in Hamburg \nDie #INFORMATIK2022 ist die offizielle Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI)\, der größten Vereinigung der Informatikerinnen und Informatiker im deutschsprachigen Raum und wird jährlich an wechselnden Orten veranstaltet. Die 52. Jahrestagung INFORMATIK 2022 findet vom 26. bis 30.09.2022 in Hamburg als Präsenzveranstaltung statt. \nDas Rahmenthema der INFORMATIK 2022 ist „Informatik in den Naturwissenschaften“. Dieses Thema fokussiert auf die Synergien der verschiedenen Naturwissenschaftsdisziplinen mit der Informatik. Naturwissenschaften beobachten und ergründen die Natur durch Empirie und Experimente\, um sie verstehbar und nutzbar zu machen. Die Informatik nimmt dabei eine besondere Rolle ein\, indem sie komplexe Analysen und Vorhersagen ermöglicht und große Datenmengen verarbeitet\, verwaltet und visualisiert. Einerseits bedienen sich die Naturwissenschaften dabei der Informatik als Werkzeug\, andererseits ist die Natur in den verschiedenen Bereichen der Informatik ein Vorbild und Quelle für Inspiration. \nNeben Beiträgen zum Schwerpunktthema gibt die INFORMATIK 2022 einen Einblick zu weiteren Themen\, die aktuell besondere Aufmerksamkeit in Wissenschaft\, Praxis und Gesellschaft erfahren. Dies sind z. B. Web Science\, Data Science\, Internet of Everything\, Sichere und zuverlässige Systeme\, KI\, Autonomes Fahren und Mobilität\, Quantencomputing\, Digital Health\, Green Coding\, Robotik\, Industrie 4.0\, Software Engineering\, Computerethik sowie Informatik-Didaktik. \nAuf der INFORMATIK 2022 bringen wir Gesprächspartnerinnen und -partner aus Wissenschaft\, Politik und Wirtschaft zusammen\, beleuchten gesellschaftliche und politische Zusammenhänge und suchen den Dialog mit allen Interessierten.

DESCRIPTION:IUG 2022 – Informatik & Gesellschaft – Zukunft gestalten\nGanztägiger Workshop an der INFORMATIK 2022\, 27.9.2022\, Call for Papers \nAbstract \nDer Charakter der Informatik als „Gestaltungswissenschaft“ trat in den letzten Jahrzehnten zunehmend hervor: Informationssysteme und deren Anwendungen prägen heute nicht nur wirtschaftliche und administrative Tätigkeiten\, sondern die Interaktion und das Zusammenleben in der Gesellschaft und sind zunehmend Teil des (wissenschaftlichen) Erkenntnisprozesses. Bereits vor 30 Jahren stellte Coy in seinem grundlegenden Beitrag „Für eine Theorie der Informatik!“ heraus\, dass die Informatik als sozial wirksame Wissenschaft auch gesellschaftliche Prozesse zu ihrem unmittelbaren Objekt der Forschung und Anwendung machen sollte. \nMit dem Workshop „Informatik & Gesellschaft – Zukunft gestalten“ laden wir Informatikerinnen und Informatiker und Vertreterinnen und Vertreter anderer Disziplinen zum Austausch über Fragestellungen\, Ansätze\, Methoden und Techniken ein\, die sich mit den gesellschaftlichen Aspekten der Informatik befassen.
